He is also a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor. He is a passionate therapist who is committed to scientific evidence-based therapies, which are applied with his characteristically gentle and client-centered approach to create a safe and accepting atmosphere.<\/p><p>Albert believes that change first occurs from within a person \u2013 starting with their emotions, thoughts (cognitions), and behaviours. Once these have changed positively, the effects then ripple outwards to their relationships, lives, and work.<\/p><p>Given this belief and passion, he has been trained extensively in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.innereasternpsychology.com.au\/blog\/2020\/5\/8\/what-is-intensive-short-term-dynamic-psychotherapy-istdp\">Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP)<\/a>. These therapies are based on active skills and techniques, so one can learn or relearn healthier ways to manage distressing emotions, thoughts, behaviours, and relationships (such as communication and assertiveness skills).
